Let’s start by logging in to your Umbraco CMS.

Once you have logged in to your CMS you will be able to see the different elements that make up your website.

1. ‘Content’ tab is where you can see and edit all the content on your website. ‘Media’ is where you upload all the images and documents you want to add to your website. ‘Users’ is where you can invite other users to access the CMS.
2. This is the name of your website.
3. This is your website structure where you can select and edit all the pages that make up your site.
4. This is where the content for the selected website or page is shown with tabs breaking up the different content areas.

With the top level of you site selected you have a number of tabs for the information used on your site. The Navigation tab is where you add all the links to the pages you want to display, your logo image and the options for to display your navigation

The Company Details tab is where you add your company address and contact details.

The Social tab is where you add and social media account you want to link to from your website.

In the footer tab you can add partner logos, website links, privacy and Terms & Conditions details and a company logo.

The Analytics tab is where you enter your analytics ID to start tracking page views etc.

The ‘Media’ tab in the top blue bar is where you can add images and documents to your website. It’s best to try and organise these using folders for each of the image types and for each page you build on the site so it’s easier for users to find images that are used in the website.

Within each folder just drag and drop your images or click to upload them.

The ‘Users’ tab is where you can view who has access to the CMS and what level they have. You can also Invite new users to join from here.
